Vallvidrera is a neighborhood of the Sarrià-Sant Gervasi district of Barcelona, Spain. It is situated on one of the sides of the Collserola hills, which are considered to be the lungs of the city due to the abundant forests they have. This wealthy neighborhood has excellent views of the whole city, and on a clear day, it is possible to see Mallorca and the Pyrenees on the horizon. Although it is a residential place, it has important things such as the Torre de Collserola (a communications tower designed by the architect Norman Foster), the Tibidabo Amusement Park, and the Temple Expiatori del Sagrat Cor. Vallvidrera can be reached by the Funicular de Vallvidrera, which connects at its lower station with the Metro del Vallès suburban railway with frequent services to the city center. The neighborhood is also served by minibus line 111, which connects to the upper station of the Vallvidrera funicular and the top of the Tibidabo hill.

    • The building has an Airtificial Intelligence camera and alarm system that allows us to make sure there are no intruders entering and alerting both police and people inside if that happened. Anyway it's a very safe neighborhood in a safe city in terms of personal security, what can happen is a bit of pickpocketing in the city center of Barcelona, be mindful of your stuff when going there.
    • At 7 min walking distance you have a good restaurant called Casa Trampa, and there is another bar that serves menus for lunch too.. before that at 5min walking distance there is another bar and a great ice cream parlor where they have other great stuff too, this is just in front of the mountain train station (part of the metro/subway system) all in the same direction.. then at 10-20min walking distance (on great paths) there are more options. We are 25min away of citycenter in public transportation so that is always another option too.
    • From the airport to the house there is public transportation door to door, you can get the train and the bus to the citycenter (Plaça Catalunya) for about 2 Euros, and the same train ticket includes using the metro in Barcelona which will bring you to "Peu del Funicular" stop using Ferrocarrils Catalans (a sort of a fast metro included in the same ticket) from there you take the Funicular (mountain train which is part of the metro system included in the same original ticket you paid at airport) which takes you to the house, there you can walk 5min or if you are with heavy luggage you can take the bus 111 (included in the same ticket) for only one stop and it will leave you 50m away from the house. Overall door to door from the house to the citycenter (Plaça Catalunya) is 25-30min depending if you check when to leave to not wait, and to the airport it's around 1 hour. With the bike to the citycenter it's 20min going down and 45min going up (or 35 min if you put the bike in the mountain train which is a very cheap ticket, same as the metro system).
    • The nearest airport is the international airport of Barcelona and it's 1h away from the house on public transportation and around 25min away in car, could be less or more depending on traffic. Taxi is around 20 Euros + luggage.

    • We are in Barcelona's mountain and you can go to citycenter and visit all the amazing places of Barcelona, you can go to Tibidabo at walking distance (15min from the house) or with the Bus 111 at 6min, or you can go to the natural park which starts in the house and make walking and bike trips that are amazing. You can also go to the beach which is 40min away in public transportation or by car in much less than that with incredible spots. You can go skiing which is 2h away in car. Catalonia has incredible places to visit that you can reach easily on car and even in public transportation.
