A town with an interesting history. Most places you may experience a coliving stay in will probably have a mile-long history, yet Menlo Park is a bit different. Birthed in 1863, the town grew up around a railroad station located between the two larger cities in the area, San Francisco, and San Jose. Eventually, it became home to many rich businessmen, creating the wealthy place we know today.
One of its most famous residents is the original headquarters for Facebook. Yes, you read that right. Menlo Park saw the growth of one of the biggest companies in the world today and you can even visit the site to grab a memorable photo with the thumbs-up sign outside. If this is your kind of cup of tea, you may also wish to apply to visit the Stanford Linear Accelerator site. These tours are limited, so get in early.
Due to the expense of living in the area, remote workers traveling and coliving here will most likely have a purpose behind their stay. As there are many tech companies in the locale, you will be able to find plenty of work spots and cafes to get things done. In fact, why not check out Café Borrone? A real delight if you’ve got time. Even with its late development, the area still has a vibrant community feeling. Why not visit the infamous local landmark Kepler’s bookstore, which once shut its doors but not for long. Afterward, you can enjoy an hour or two in the hidden gem named Sharon park.
Evenings here can be spent at The Guild, where you can catch a different cult classic movie each week. A destination spot you can’t miss during your time coliving adventure is the Allied Arts Guide, a true myriad of shops, gardens, artist studios, and food establishments. This is the trendiest place to be seen.
