France is a beautiful country famous for its culinary arts, history, and size. Despite having a population of 67.15 million, the country is mostly rural, though larger cities like Bordeaux or Toulouse are urban enough that you will find many coworking spaces which have been created with collaboration in mind.
Coworking and coliving is a new idea to France, as the stubborn French mindset can be difficult to change. However new projects and initiatives are being launched all the time, and the French are coming around to the benefits that these spaces can offer, especially to digital nomads.
Whatever it is you enjoy outside of work, France is a cultural hub that offers everything you could desire. Art galleries and architecture, stunning cathedrals, and a rich history, the country can open up Europe to you like never before.
Many of those who live remotely in France use the country as a base, and explore other parts of the continent that are closer by and easier to access. The French famously take long lunches and enjoy their meals with local wines, using it as a way to spend time with their friends and family in a relaxed social setting.
Whilst France may not be quite as relaxed as their other European neighbours in other respects, it is a passionate and proud country, a great place to work with people of this mindset. Stay in a coastal town, and enjoy moules et frites by the sea with the locals, or in Paris, the city of love, where you will find the iconic sights of the Eiffel Tower and the Louvre.
If you are seeking a vibrant place to live in a top tourist destination, with a spirited people closely tied to their roots and their country, then France is an ideal place for you to live and work.
