Lava Coliving

Had a very nice stay here. A great mix of remote work and hiking in the afternoon.
The house and the rooms are well equipped, I can only recommend :)

The two weeks I spent at the coliving flew by so quickly. It’s a great place to stay and work remotely. It’s a beautiful, spacious house with everything you need and much more. You can work with a great view of the mountains, or the ocean, or in a coworking space—whatever you like. There’s even a gym, so no excuse; you can exercise. And there's a projector to watch movies in a cozy, warm atmosphere with a cat who also likes to watch movies.

The staff is super friendly, ready to help and advise on the best places to visit, making everything very comfortable, so you feel at home at the coliving.
I made friends there; I hope to see them again :)
The Azores are so beautiful; you’ll never have enough time to see everything there, so I hope to come back for more experiences!

Coliving is great! The house is large and beautiful with lots of space to work or relax. It’s impeccably clean. The Internet works flawlessly. The best part about it is the warm and welcoming staff who made me feel right at home. I would definitely go back again. Highly recommended.

Coliving is a great place to stay as a remote worker visiting Saõ Miguel. The hosts were absolutely lovely to get to know and they were very helpful throughout my 3-week stay. The facilities were great, and it’s possible to either work from your room or from the coworking space, which has additional monitors if you need them. It was great getting to meet like-minded people and to have a base while I explored the island.

I had the most amazing stay at this coliving in São Miguel! The house itself is phenomenal: huge, cozy, beautifully kept, and full of character. There’s so much space for everyone, and plenty of different spots to work from, whether you want quiet focus or a more social vibe. The big communal kitchen is fully equipped with everything you could possibly need, and everything in the house is spotless and very well organized thanks to the staff. They do an incredible job creating such a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere.

I stayed in the Ocean Room, a bright, spacious room with two big windows, a large wardrobe, and a modern bathroom. Super comfortable and very clean. The WiFi was excellent, which is so important for remote work, and I never had any issues.

The location is great: about 15 minutes to Ponta Delgada, 5 minutes to Santa Bárbara beach, 15 minutes to Lagoa do Fogo, and a supermarket just 10 minutes away. Perfect balance of being connected but still peaceful.

What really stood out to me was the community vibe. There are group activities you can join, but never any pressure – you can socialize or just do your own thing. It felt very free and easy-going, which I loved. During my stay, I met some truly wonderful people and made friends I’ll definitely stay in touch with.

Overall, this is an incredible place for digital nomads and remote workers. Whether you want to focus, connect, or simply enjoy the island, this coliving makes it all possible. I can’t recommend it highly enough. What the staff has built here is really special. ❤️

I really enjoyed my stay at the coliving! As a remote worker, I always look for places where I can work comfortably and also meet like-minded travelers or locals. At the coliving, not only did I have a fast and reliable internet connection — both in my room and at the co-working space — but it was also easy to connect with other people. I highly recommend staying at the coliving!

A perfect spot for any remote worker traveling to the paradise that is Isla Sao Miguel. The team was the kindest and most attentive. The house and amenities were sparkling clean and spacious. The coliving space was everything that you might need - a couple of desks with monitors you can plug into. We absolutely loved our stay.

Highly recommend this place to anyone coming to the Azores, a large space to chill, work, cook, and close to the center to reach any place on the island!

I stayed here for a week and loved it. Everyone was super nice, and I quickly made friends with the colivers. The location is a bit off, but it's no problem with a car. The view of the surroundings is beautiful. It's ideal for working. The host is very dedicated and kind. I felt very comfortable. Thank you very much. I will definitely come back!
