Hi Franka and Janosch, thank you for the interesting talk with you yesterday on the subject of "rural development".
We both liked it very much- Coconat is a great location in peace and seclusion.
I particularly like Franka's project of creating housing options for urban refugees who are first introduced to rural life.
I wish you continued success and see you again soon. jürgen
I was at the Coconat for three days because I wanted to relax in the country and work in peace at the same time, and I am very disappointed and even appalled. The entire facility looks to me as if it has long since passed its prime - the photos on the website and on social media are, in my opinion, embellished. In my room, only the bed and the bathroom were clean, the rest (floor, carpet, window, shower wall) looked as if nobody had cleaned for a year, I didn't dare to walk barefoot through the room. It doesn't look much better in the community spaces. Some of the outdoor workplaces were often "occupied" with beer bottles from the previous evening that had not been cleared away, the sauna and raft were broken, the sports and co-working areas at least seem neglected. The staff is not "caring" or hired, but there is a "strict hostel mother" tone, you always feel like a supplicant, the good press has apparently led to a "high horse". There are fixed meal times, but they are not always adhered to - if you came on time, you often had to wait, if you came a little later, the buffet was often empty and nothing came afterward, dishes and leftovers have to be cleared away yourself. There are also no rental bicycles to explore the surrounding area. For all of this, you pay around € 100 per night, the price of a four-star hotel. Never again! I can't understand the positive reviews here.
