Responsibilities
Feature Development & Bug Fixes
Implement new features and address bugs, ensuring high-quality, maintainable code.

API & Service Integration
Design, develop, and integrate RESTful APIs and third-party services to enhance our platform’s functionality.

Database Management
Design and optimize database schemas, leveraging Eloquent ORM for efficient data handling.

Performance & Security Optimization
Optimize applications for speed and scalability while ensuring robust security measures.

Testing & Quality Assurance
Develop and execute unit and integration tests to maintain a high standard of code quality.

Code Reviews & Collaboration
Participate in regular code reviews and collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., front-end developers, designers, product managers) to drive continuous improvement.

Deployment & Maintenance
Assist with deployment processes, server configuration, and troubleshooting production issues.

Documentation
Maintain clear and comprehensive technical documentation for code and processes.

Continuous Learning
Stay updated with emerging technologies and best practices within the Laravel ecosystem and web development in general.
Requirements
Location Preference
Ideally, candidates are based in Lisbon.

Technical Expertise
• PHP & Laravel: Minimum 3 years of professional experience with Laravel and a strong command of PHP, including object-oriented programming (OOP), MVC architecture, and design patterns.
• TALL Stack Proficiency: Demonstrated experience with Tailwind CSS, AlpineJS, Livewire, and Laravel.
• API & Web Services: Solid understanding of building and integrating RESTful APIs, working with JSON, and managing server-client interactions.
• AI Integration: Familiarity with AI concepts and practical applications in web development is a plus.
• Responsive Design: Knowledge of responsive and mobile development best practices to ensure optimal user experience.

Collaboration & Communication
• Excellent written and verbal English skills; must be comfortable participating in Zoom calls with team members and clients.
• Proven experience using Git for version control, collaborating effectively within a team, and working with others’ code.

Problem-Solving & Continuous Learning
• Strong logical thinking with a good grasp of data structures, algorithms, and performance optimization techniques.
A proactive attitude with an eagerness to research, learn, and implement new techniques and industry best practices.
