Had an amazing experience here!

Everyone was so friendly and nice and the landlord was professional and helpful.

Clean, neat, tidy, quiet :).

If you’re looking for just housing, this isn’t it. You’re better off renting a room on Airbnb.

This coliving is a bundled experience - curated for just you.

A year ago, I was looking for a place to stay. I called, and the next day I moved in. Affordable, instant, no multi-week application process.

Throughout the year, I’ve been constantly surprised by the people I’ve met, what they’re doing, and the stories they bring.

Small things you don't think about, that'll change your life:
- Weekly cleaning, yep including your beddings and room.
- Automated restocks (things like laundry detergent, condiments, toilet paper).
- WiFi, utilities, all of them paid.
- Oh, and the sauna, I wish I had a picture of the in-house sauna.
- Cleanliness - massive win.

Funniest part is that I've bumped into fellow residents all over the world ~ in Denver, Los Angeles, Japan. The bigger this coliving grows, the bigger the network will be, and I'm pumped to see that.

To be honest, before I moved in, the only thing I was worried about was the location. New to SF, you think everywhere is pretty dangerous. But Russian Hill is one of the safest neighborhoods you'll find.

This coliving brings experiences that can't be compiled into the generic term housing. If YC is an accelerator for startups, this coliving is an accelerator for life.

Also, shoutout to the manager, he runs the world's highest-rated coliving, but is the most down-to-earth guy I've ever met in my life. His attention to detail to curate an experience just for you deserves 10/5 stars.

Getting to meet a fellow resident in real life was a highlight. I've been following his work for years and he's casually around.

I had a wonderful experience living in a coliving!
It was my first time in the US, traveling alone, and my first experience with colivings. From the start, the owner was extremely supportive and always quick to respond to any questions I had.
The building looks exactly like the photos on the website: clean, spacious, and very comfortable.
The neighborhood around the coliving is also very quiet and safe, and perfectly located to explore the city. I often walked around alone, even at night, and always felt completely safe.
I stayed in a shared room that was bright and spacious, and I couldn’t have asked for a better roommate match. I loved ending my days chatting and sharing stories, which made the place feel even more like home.
The community atmosphere was truly special: everyone was welcoming and kind, and I made real friendships during my stay.
I highly recommend this coliving to anyone looking for a safe, friendly, and cozy place to stay in San Francisco!

I have been living in coliving 908 for a little over three months now. I’ve recently decided to move from a single room to a shared room to reduce my rent, so it feels like a good juncture to write a review.

I have been quite pleasantly surprised by coliving 908. I was not expecting to stay here more than a few months, but within weeks I started to feel like this was my home. The house manager is a committed and caring individual who goes above and beyond to make living here a positive experience. The space itself is also really nice, with lots of natural light in both of the rooms I’ve stayed in (5 and 11) and twice-weekly cleaning service included in rent. The neighborhood is also awesome - both cute and safe, with walkable access to Polk Street, Chinatown, and North Beach. A pretty classic San Francisco experience if that’s what you’re looking for.

The rent is quite expensive for a shared space, but I honestly think it’s worth it given the neighborhood and amenities provided (utilities included; shared kitchen supplies including spices, cooking oil, tea, and coffee; paper products and soap; in-house laundry with detergent; cleaning service including sheets and towels).

Before moving in, I was a bit nervous about the kitchen, but it has been totally fine. We have a 2-burner hotplate and a countertop oven which pretty much get you as far as you need to go with normal cooking needs. Many people in the house don’t use the kitchen or use it at odd hours, so there is not usually high demand to use the appliances. There is also an air fryer, microwave, hot water dispenser, water filter, and ice maker. The one thing to be aware of is that roommates in shared rooms share a fridge shelf. That is not a lot of space! That said, there is a shared fridge for use by all residents for overflow items (and the house manager said they’d get another one if we needed it…). The bathrooms also tend to stay quite clean and there are 9 of them for 16 people, so there’s never really a wait for those either.

Overall, the social vibe these past few months has been really nice. There is a good mix of longer-term and shorter-term residents, so there’s been some continuity with the opportunity to meet new people as well. A lot of the people who live here are in the tech/startup world, but I’m an arts/theater person and have not felt like that’s been an issue. The gender ratio has also improved, and about half of us in the house are women/non-men. There are quite a few international folks here which brings good vibes as well. Everyone is very welcoming. I feel like even though I’ve only known these people for a few months, we are on each other’s team. That’s a very nice thing to feel after moving to a new city.

Thank you to coliving 908 and the house manager for making this a good home for me in San Francisco. I wasn’t sure how long I’d stay in the city, and coliving 908 has definitely been a factor in wanting to stick around for a bit longer!

About a year ago, I was in your shoes–reading these reviews and wondering if they were actually accurate. But I took a chance and applied for my first coliving experience.

A year later, I've spent my first year in SF at a coliving space. And it was one of the best decisions I could have made. I could write an essay about all the great experiences I had here, but I'll save you the time and sum it up: it's worth it.

If you’re new to the city, I genuinely don’t think there’s a better place to move in and feel like you have a welcoming home to come back to every day.

This was my second stay at 908 Coliving, and it was amazing. The place is super clean and well-maintained. There is also a great tea collection. The staff is super nice and great, they make sure you’re happy with your stay.

The community here is great too, mostly tech folks and young entrepreneurs. It's in a great location, right next to Chinatown and the Italian neighborhood, not very far from coffee shops and bars. Great place to stay for discovering the tech landscape of SF, as most of the tech events are happening within a 30-minute walkable radius.

Will visit again.

I’m what some might label a “digital nomad” (shudder… or at least, I used to be) so in my time on the road I’ve seen my fair share of coliving spots.

908 ranks number 1, because well, it feels less coliving-y and more like a home.

It’s got everything you could want: an incredible community, location and my personal favorite a sauna.

If you’re on the fence, jump. You won’t regret it.

While I'm excited for my next adventure, a part of me wishes I could stay here forever. If you're considering coliving, especially in SF, I can't recommend it enough. It's more than just great housing with great people – it's a launchpad for personal growth and a place to find your friends in a new city.

If you're deciding whether to stay here, I highly recommend it without hesitation. Despite commuting 4 hours daily between Fremont and San Francisco, I’ve never regretted not living closer to work. The value of this coliving space far exceeds any rent. It’s more than just a place to stay—it’s about the community. From promising founders and software engineers to designers, an influencer, a non-profit advocate, and even a chocolate boy (a food scientist at the Ghirardelli chocolate factory, as I like to call him), the residents truly embody the diverse spirit of San Francisco. It’s not just a hacker house full of tech bros; it’s a community where we’ve all learned from others with different backgrounds and gained a deeper understanding of the city from people who represent it in various ways. Interacting with these amazing individuals daily was an invaluable experience, something I couldn’t have found elsewhere.

Plus, this house is wonderfully international, with residents from all over the world—Germany, Ukraine, China, India, the UK, and Korea, where I’m from—making me feel like I truly belong here, never like an outsider. The house was full of laughter and warmth—everyone truly supported one another, brightening each other’s day. Personally, I grew a lot while receiving invaluable career mentorship from industry and community leaders (thank you, Kathy, Yiwei, Jan, Nav, and Rahul), sharing nightly laughs (thank you, Molly, Whitman, Dylan, and Austin!), and getting lifelong emotional support, like being invited to grab ice cream when I was feeling down or going for a walk to get some fresh air (thank you, Josh, Bihan, Nav, and Lana!). I had good friends before, but I can't think of anyone better than this group; I enjoyed and appreciated spending time with each and every one of them.

I will never forget the moments I had in this house. If I could, I wouldn’t want to move out. That’s how much I loved this house and the people here. But life moves on, and even though I didn’t expect it to come so quickly, my time to move out has now arrived. This experience has inspired me to dream of creating my own coliving space someday and to continue building friendships like those I made here throughout the rest of my life. These months of coliving have truly changed my vision, values, and how I see the world.

Thank you to each and every one of you for giving me the best memories during my time here. A special thank you to Josh—none of this would have been possible without you. I was truly impressed by your dedication to this place and community—not just because you quickly responded to house maintenance issues, but also for giving up your spot for a housemate to go to Muir Woods, cleaning the kitchen without a single complaint, and sharing your genuine smile when you saw people having fun. I can’t wait to see where you all land next—see you all very soon! 😊❤️

I stayed here for a month when I first moved to SF as a college new grad, and I couldn’t have asked for a better experience! The location is great, super close to many restaurants in Chinatown and North Beach, and it’s a nice walk to the Financial District, where I work. All the common areas are kept very clean, which is so important when so many people are sharing the space.

The community is unbeatable. I loved hanging out in common spaces and going on random adventures with other people in the house. I went to many new restaurants, hiked, went out, and explored neighborhoods I had never been to with people here. I’ll miss hanging out with everyone I met there, and I’d highly recommend this place if you’re looking to meet cool people from all over.
