A coliving that is true to the basics, clean, and convenient.

1. You must take off your shoes at the 2nd-floor entrance and change into indoor slippers. I liked that I didn't have to suffer from foot odor in the sleeping area.

2. There aren't many beds relative to the building size. Thanks to that, you can use the toilets and showers comfortably.

3. The sinks, showers, and toilets on the 2nd floor and the shared kitchen on the 3rd floor are kept clean. Also, because the sinks, showers, and toilets are in spaces separated from the 2nd-floor rooms, you can hardly hear noise in the sleeping area.

4. Basic shampoo and body wash are provided in the shower, and there is a shelf where you can place personal items.

5. The washing machine can be used free of charge.

6. The bed frames are wooden, but they are firmly fixed to the walls and ceiling, so there is little to no shaking or noise when climbing up to the upper bunk.

7. There is a separate space to store large bags located outside the sleeping area, so you are protected from noise made by people repacking items they bought while shopping.

8. There are lockers in the sleeping room large enough for backpacks, and a small storage box next to the bed for valuables.

If the bedroom door didn't creak and make noise every time it's opened and closed, it would be a perfect coliving.
I would use it again when I visit the city.

It was a spontaneous trip where I booked the coliving and the bullet train on the same day.
I learned about this coliving from an acquaintance. The private room felt a bit expensive, but it had plenty of space. In particular, the bed was large and comfortable; I was very satisfied.
I was a bit confused by using a tablet for check-in and check-out and by having to press numbers on the door lock, but I got used to it by the second day.
In the first-floor coworking space, I talked with the staff and other guests, which made the trip enjoyable. I want to go again.

Checked in as two people in a room with two large beds. The location is good — lively yet peaceful, but when it's windy the windows shake, which is quite troublesome; there is a draft issue. The bathroom facilities and kitchen supplies are very clean and complete. Map information and charging are plentiful.

Great coliving to stay when in or around Takamatsu.

They were very friendly and helped me even out to organize a taxi and camping ground, which you could only book in Japanese. The atmosphere was tranquil, and I could wind down nicely after a three-day trip to Iya Valley.

Thanks again for everything!

I booked this coliving as a place to stay during my trip to Takamatsu. It is about 500 meters from the city center, which is a bit of a walk, but it's relatively close to the public bus stop. There is also a big supermarket nearby, making it convenient for shopping. I reserved a double room, and the bedding was one of the best I've had in Japan, making it quite comfortable. Although this is a coliving, so the bathrooms and toilets are shared, they are kept clean. The kitchen has a refrigerator, and the lounge on the first floor is tidy. However, the stairs between the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd floors are too narrow and steep, which can be a bit dangerous.

It was a great stay in general. What I liked the most - very close to nature, small and calm town, but still amazing restaurants around. They also organized a very good workplace.
The only downside I found - the rooms were not very well isolated from noise and light.

In terms of coliving, the facilities are quite good. The kitchen is fully equipped with new utensils, including a stove, microwave, and oven, and the shared refrigerator is large and clean. Various condiments, salad dressings, pepper, salt, and cooking oil are also provided, which is very convenient.

The shared bathrooms and toilets are very clean. There is one toilet and one shower room for men and the same for women; although there are fewer showers, there's also a toilet on the first floor, so it’s not a big issue. Many Americans living here are used to showering in the morning, so timings can be staggered.

Regarding the room, I stayed in a single room on the 3rd floor (Room 301). The mattress is a bit firm, with a hard pillow + high pillow (which can become flat over time). The comforter is super warm, and the air conditioning is very quiet, which is nice. The room is spacious, but the table is very small, making it difficult for women to store their skincare and makeup products (a larger table would be more convenient for guests).

Location: There's a large supermarket and a convenience store (7-11) nearby, making shopping very convenient. It's about a 10-minute walk to the station. However, to find more restaurant options, you will need to walk over 10 minutes.

Overall, I believe this is a very good coliving place, but there are still some shortcomings that need to be shared.

Shortcomings:
1. Poor sound insulation: I can hear the roommate in 302 snoring and their phone vibrating. Not to mention, the common area outside on the 3rd floor is the living room and kitchen space—although they're supposed to be quiet after 10 PM, some guests do not follow this rule. What’s worse is that the chairs screech on the floor, suggesting the management should put felt pads on the chair legs to reduce noise. For the first three days of my stay, I could only fall asleep after this particular guest went to sleep (around 1 AM), but unfortunately, I had to wake up at 5:30 AM for my volunteer work, which was quite painful until they moved out on the fourth day—it's just a matter of luck to have good neighbors.

2. The room door has glass, so light from outside seeps into the room. If possible, the management should change it to an opaque wooden door to avoid disturbance from outside light. PS. Many people leave the lights on in the common area, so I end up turning them off almost every day.

3. The stairs from the 2nd to the 3rd floor are very narrow and can only be walked sideways. You must wear slippers while using the stairs, and carrying large luggage from the 2nd to the 3rd floor is very dangerous (the stairs from the 1st to the 2nd floor are fine and can be navigated with regular shoes, so there’s no problem there).

4. Cleaning staff: Housekeeping can only be requested after staying for 4 nights (starting from the 5th day). I was not informed about this when I made my reservation, and since I am allergic to dust mites, I was disappointed when I requested cleaning, but they didn’t come. After following up again, the cleaning staff had already left, so the front desk only helped me change the sheets, and the floor was cleaned the next day. Also, the supplies on the 2nd floor were not restocked; for two nights I didn't have laundry detergent, and one day there wasn't any dish soap in the kitchen. Unfortunately, the front desk is only staffed from 9 AM to 6 PM, so you can only report issues during these hours, which is quite inconvenient for those who leave early and return late.

However, if you are staying for 2-3 days, you probably won't have issues with large suitcases and cleaning, which would avoid the shortcomings mentioned. Just sharing for everyone's reference.

The coworking space is spacious, stylish, and comfortable! It's also great that there are supermarkets like Marunaka nearby.
