This charming apartment is a typical Berlin ‘’Altbau’’ (old building), dating back to the 19th and 20th Century. The property was completely modernised and refurbished in 2017. It has five beautiful bedrooms with high ceilings and big window frames. A very spacious kitchen perfect for both cooking and socialising. There is also a comfy living room, a separate laundry area and two spacious shared bathrooms.
A deposit of 1,150€ is required for all our German units. Please note that the membership fee is already included in this deposit amount.

The main purpose of our community is to make it possible for people—regardless of background—to feel comfortable and at home with their housemates, and have the opportunity to build long-lasting, authentic relationships.
To allow members the opportunity to get to know their housemates and expand their networks, we sponsor activities. One way this is done is by way of a sponsored welcome dinner: each time a new member moves in, Our team sponsor a dinner for all housemates to get to know one another. We then hope to see our members come together and join the various other events hosted throughout the year by us or other members!
As a member, you will also get exclusive access to our online community via the member app. In the app, you have the possibility to join or start an interest group and get in contact with other members in your own city and across all other cities in which We are present.

Around the apartment
The apartment is named after the area it is located in. Charlottenburg is located on West Berlin’s historic boulevard. This long boulevard is a western continuation of Straße des 17. Juni which is the direct connection between Berlin city center and the Brandenburg Gate to the western suburbs of Charlottenburg. Our location is a 15-min walk to Kudamm, which can be considered as the Champs-Élysées of Berlin, lined with shops, hotels, cinemas, theaters, and restaurants.

• All the contracts should start on the first day of each month.
• We work with open-ended contracts, so you can stay for as long as you like. In order to terminate your lease, you just need to give a 1-month termination notice before moving out.
• All our contracts end on the last day of each month.
• After signing the contract a deposit of 1,000 EUR will be requested. The amount is fixed regardless of the price of the rent and is
fully reimbursable once you move out.
• Please note that we ask for a prepayment of your LAST month of rent, the first month of rent will be paid directly to us on the day your contract starts.
• We charge a one-time membership fee of €150 upon signing the contract. This fee covers administrative costs, including contract drafting and processing.

Are pets allowed?We love pets, but unfortunately, we don't have any animal-friendly apartments available at the moment.

Can I split the rent with my partner or a friend?Unfortunately, as the rooms are only suitable for one person, the payment should come from a single bank account.

What types of people will I be sharing the home with?Our members come from all over the world and have a big range of professions. Most members are between 25-35 yrs old, but we believe that age is just a number. We love diversity and promote environments where you will get to meet people from different backgrounds and broaden your horizons.

Will I get the same room as on the photos?The room you will be assigned might differ slightly from the photos but will match the room type. You are booking a room/bed by type, not a specific unit.

Can I tour the property first?You don´t need to tour the property, and here is why:

My booking has been accepted, now what?Once you’ve been accepted and confirmed your ideal moving-in date, the host will be there to welcome you to your new home. They will help you settle in your room, show you around the space, and introduce you to the other community members. Once we’ve answered your questions, you will be given time to get settled and make yourself at home.

Can I extend or shorten my stay?As our contracts are open-ended, you can stay for as long as you like depending on the availability! However, unfortunately, the stays can't be shortened.

When/how will you refund my security deposit?Within 30 business days after your contract end date.

Can I cancel a booking?You can cancel free of charge as long as you have not paid. Once you have paid for your booking, the cancellation policy must be respected.

What if I don’t know exactly how long I want to stay?You may book a shorter stay first and then extend once you know more about your needs subject to availability.

What if the place is not as advertised?If the accommodation is not suitable, please contact the staff on arrival and they will do their best to find a mutually agreeable solution.

Is it permissible to have visitors during the day/night?Our apartments are your home, so you can definitely have guests come over as long as everyone in the home is fine with it and you follow our guest policy.

Are kids allowed?Sadly, our apartments are currently not suitable for families with kids.

Can I smoke inside? How about vaping?Smoking is only permitted outdoors, on balconies, terraces, or yards. Violations may result in fines.

What are the quiet hours?Members must avoid being a disturbance to others, especially during quiet hours. This includes keeping noise levels down in common areas, outdoor spaces, balconies, and terraces at designated times (after 10 pm on weeknights and midnight on weekends).

Is there a kitchen where I can cook my own food?Yes, the apartment included a fully equipped kitchen.

Do I have to clean the room when I move out?Just leave the room in a decent way and make sure that nothing got broken during your stay.

Can I lock my bedroom door?Our apartments typically do not have locks on individual private rooms. This is primarily due to safety concerns since police or firefighters may need to enter the room in case of an emergency. Additionally, we provide services such as cleaning and furniture repairs/maintenance, so our operations team or technicians/plumbers may need to enter if there is an issue in a private room or if it is time for cleaning. In such cases, we will always notify the members in advance and knock on the doors before entering. Thank you for your understanding!
