About the place

Our community is a space of creation, community, and process. Our residents are contemporary artists, writers, philosophers, musicians, activists, architects, designers, Chef, etc. We organize different projects where all our guests are welcome to participate. These include, but are not limited to, a selected residency program for contemporary art and writing projects, a local nonprofit organization that organizes activities within the local context, and a co-op for local and ecological products. The space operates as a center for artistic and writing production.

The house is an old manor of 1187m², a classic Catalan farmhouse and located in the beautiful environment of El Bruc, a small village that skirts the mountain of Montserrat, just 45 kilometers from Barcelona. The house provides various spaces and workshops for working in an awe-inspiring surrounding natural environment. A pleasant walk along paths and trails will take from the house to the foot of the mountain, where one can enjoy a spectacular view of Les Agülles, or The Needles, of Montserrat.

Our house is divided as the following
- 16 rustic and charming bedrooms of various sizes are available for single, double, triple or quadruple accommodation
- four studies 36, 24 (x2) and 25 sqm
- 2 kitchens
- 5 private showers
- 4 toilets,
- 2 dining-rooms
Our 390 m2 of studios divided as the following
- An old cellar: printmaking studio + rehearsal space for dance / performance /theater (260m2)
- 1 multifunctional communal studio. Lots of natural light (36m2)
- 1 multifunctional communal studio which we reserve for sound artists. Less natural light. (25m2)
- 2 writer and presentation room with a projector. (24m2)
- A printmaking space, sound recording equipment, projectors, DIY tools.
- 9000 m2 of garden with terrace and stage for concerts and performance

Basic food supplies are provided on a weekly basis and shared with all residents (ask for the list of items as it is changing depending on the season). Dinners are prepared on weeknights and served buffet style at approx 8 pm. Hairdryer, iron, iron board, and drying racks are also available for communal use.
Before arrival, bedrooms are cleaned and prepared with clean sheets and towels. It is the responsibility of the resident to clean (Hidden by Coliving.com) room and sheets/towel during (Hidden by Coliving.com) stay. Twice a week all common spaces are cleaned by an external service.
