About El Ensanche
We are located right next to Ruzafa, the most vibrant neighborhood in Valencia. Authentic coffee places, amazing local gastronomy, art galleries, music bars, vintage boutiques, cozy bookstores, and fitness studios. By 5 minutes walking from home, you will find over 9km of gardens at the old river bed. The river (as we call it) is also central to the city’s culture with activities, exhibitions, and fairs throughout the year. In 10 minutes by walk, you will be at the historical city center, a thousand-year-old neighborhood, filled with vibrant life rich in street art, and home to cutting-edge museums. Ride your bike for 15 minutes and you will find yourself at El Cabañal, a traditional fisherman neighborhood by the beach, and home to the local innovation ecosystem. Visit some of the most innovative tech companies in the city in the morning, enjoy a nice meal in front of the sea and spend the afternoon at one of the many cultural events that are happening every day.

Sadly, we don't welcome pets anymore. We used to do it in the past, but a lot of Colivers showed signs of allergies to different types of pets, as well as our lovely cleaning lady Dina, who is allergic to dogs. This is heartbreaking for us because we love pets, but unfortunately, we had to make a decision of the greater good of the community.
Yes, couples are allowed. We just charge a partial fee for the double occupancy of the room and the extra spot at the coworking space.
Yes, we have a specific coworking space in the building, available pretty much 24/7 for any working hours.
Social entrepreneurs, unconventional freelancers, digital humanists, eclectic artists, corporate shakers, remote artisans... curious and talented people from all over the world ready to share experiences and build cool projects. Our colivers are always professionals, either working remotely, coming to Valencia to expand their business, or planning their next career move.
Once you’ve been accepted and confirmed your ideal moving-in date, the host will be there to welcome you to your new home. They will help you settle in your room, show you around the space, and introduce you to the other community members. Once we’ve answered your questions, you will be given time to get settled and make yourself at home.
If the accommodation is not suitable, please contact the staff on arrival and they will do their best to find a mutually agreeable solution.
We look for people that is open to sharing a part of their life with others: respectful, open to diversity, communicative, willing to learn and share experiences... At the same time we acknowledge the need for individual spaces and independence while living in a community

Yes, we live on-site so check-in times are super flexible.
You may book a shorter stay first and then extend once you know more about your needs subject to availability.
Here, our policy is common sense. Guests are allowed as long as they are aligned with the values of the community and the rest of the group is okey with welcoming them. You can also receive overnight visits of friends and family but we charge an extra fee if they stay for more than 2 nights

Yes, the rooms are cleaned biweekly, and linen and towels are changed.
Yes, we have a washing machine in the house that is free to use, and we also provide soap. If you need a laundry service, we can help you arrange it.
Yes, we have a fully equipped kitchen where you can cook.
Yes, you can work in the common areas as long as this doesn't disturb the day to day life of the community. For example, you can work in the dining room table but should move to your room or to the coworking area if other colivers want to have lunch or dinner

Yes, the communal areas are cleaned weekly.

The average length of stay is around 2 months. Usually, there's a mix in the house between mid-term guests (2 to 3 months) and colivers that come to spend 1 month in the community
