Brighton is a neighborhood located in the western part of the city of Boston, Massachusetts. It's known for its vibrant student population, diverse community, and easy access to public transportation. At Brighton Residence, you'll find yourself situated near many restaurants, shops, and other amenities. The area is particularly popular among college students, as Boston College and Boston University are both located nearby. As a result, the neighborhood has a lively and youthful atmosphere. There are several parks and green spaces in the area, including Chandler Pond, Rogers Park, and the Chestnut Hill Reservoir. These provide opportunities for outdoor recreation and relaxation. The Green Line of the MBTA's subway system and numerous bus lines both serve the neighborhood in terms of transportation. This makes it easy to get around the city and explore other parts of Boston. Overall, our Brighton residence is located in a bustling and dynamic neighborhood that offers a wide range of amenities and opportunities.

My booking has been accepted, now what?Once you’ve been accepted and confirmed your ideal moving-in date, the host will be there to welcome you to your new home. They will help you settle in your room, show you around the space, and introduce you to the other community members. Once we’ve answered your questions, you will be given time to get settled and make yourself at home.

Will I get the same room as on the photos?The room you will be assigned might differ slightly from the photos but will match the room type. You are booking a room/bed by type, not a specific unit.

What if I don’t know exactly how long I want to stay?You may book a shorter stay first and then extend once you know more about your needs.

What if the place is not as advertised?You have 24hrs to let us know if everything is okay. If you think you’ve been missold to, or the listing was significantly different to what you got, we’ll help you find somewhere else to live, or refund your money.

Can I cancel a booking?You may cancel with no fees until you have paid. Once you have paid for your booking, the Cancellation Policy needs to be followed.

Will I have privacy?All guests have a bedroom within the home for more privacy. Guests are to share the furnished common areas respectfully. Each room is suitable for single occupancy and private.

Are pets allowed?Even though we love pets, a co-living environment does not allow us to be pet friendly. Our current or future guests might be allergic to pets.

Are couples allowed? Can I split the rent with a friend?Our rooms are single occupancy only. We may suggest our entire apartment options (one bedroom or studio) for couples, available at limited locations.

Who are my roommates?We do the placements according to like-mindedness as much as we can. We will pick roomates for you, doing our best to match like minded individuals like students and young professionals.

Is there a designated space for work?You have plenty of flexible workspace options to suit your mood and your requirements for the day.

Can I check-in early? Late?For earlier check-ins (early arriving flights)
You can call / message the coordinator via WhatsApp and let them know your arrival time. You will be able to leave your luggage in the common area of the apartment and return later once your room is ready. -
Can I extend or shorten my stay?You need to provide a written request to extend your stay, preferably with a 30-day notice. Extensions are based on availability and we do our best to accommodate our guests.

Is there a Credit Score required?We ask for ID proof of guarantor for the verification process but we do not require any credit scores from international applicants and students.

When/how will you refund my security deposit?The deposit will be returned within 21 business days after the rooming agreement term stays, provided that the contractual obligations have been met and mandatory cleaning and depreciation fees deducted.

Can I smoke inside? How about vaping?Smoking of any kind; is not permitted in the residence buildings, by residents and their guests.

Are kids allowed?As this is essentially a working environment, our facilities aren’t baby-proofed or child-friendly. Having kids around can be a major distraction for other colivers and you. So, it’s a no.

Are service and emotional support animals allowed?Even though we love pets, a co-living environment does not allow us to be pet friendly. Our current or future guests might be allergic to pets.

Is it permissible to have visitors during the day/night?Due to the unique living environment at our premises, constant overnight guests are not allowed. You are able to have friends and family visit you. However, overnight guests overpopulate the apartment and are not permitted.

What are the quiet hours?On the weekday, quiet hours are from 10 pm to 7 am, and 12 am to 9 am on weekends. As with any shared housing scenario, the golden rule is to be respectful of others in your community and not wake them up or disturb them if they’re trying to have a quiet night.
