We are the first coliving and coworking penthouse for entrepreneurs, creatives, and global citizens in Hawaii. A hybrid living arrangement pairing private bedrooms with a shared environment for community and collaboration, for a minimum stay of 60 days for each member. A ten-minute walk from the sand of Waikiki Beach, the house’s floor-to-ceiling-glass 40th-story space features a collection of private bedrooms, each inspired by a surf break famous to generations of Oahu kamaaina. Full of private and shared living and working spaces, community members can enjoy roof deck access, fitness, and conference room amenities and are within blocks of shops, restaurants, and one of the world’s greatest shopping malls. We always celebrate collaboration, but at the same time we celebrate individuality; being selected as a member of our "ohana" includes the social benefits and responsibilities that embody aloha. Volunteering once a month and giving back to the islands we all love so much is at the forefront of Surfbreak's mission. The following amenities and services are included:

The property is located in an area called, "Ala Moana" which is just outside of Waikiki. A ten-minute walk to the sands of Waikiki, 10 minutes to one of the world's greatest shopping malls, and 5 minutes to the closest grocery store–with tons of shops, bars, and parks in between. You will love enjoying the neigborhood.

- Note that there is an additional tax (Hawaii's GET tax) of 4.712% included with monthly rent. We also have a refundable security deposit of $1700 and a cleaning surcharge of $100/month that is deducted from your security deposit at the time of move out.

  • Once you’ve been accepted and confirmed your ideal moving-in date, the host will be there to welcome you to your new home. They will help you settle in your room, show you around the space, and introduce you to the other community members. Once we’ve answered your questions, you will be given time to get settled and make yourself at home.
  • It’s enough that you accept our Renters Terms.

  • Yes. All of our rooms are private access with locks. You have access to all common spaces of course, but privacy is always available if you choose.

  • Yes, couples are allowed in the queen and king rooms only.
  • Yes. Each room comes with a private desk but we also provide a conference room that is first come first serve (holds about 9 people). There's also a seating/desk area throughout all the common spaces.
  • Booking
  • Please supply your dates and room preference. Note that we do have a 2-month minimum stay at our property. The reason behind this is that we don't want our property to feel like a hostel or a hotel. We really value our members coming in, getting to know the island/Hawaiian culture, attending our events, volunteering with us, and making life-long friendships in the process. We would also love to jump on a call with you to discuss any requests you might have and answer any questions. So a contact phone number would be great.
  • We really prefer you keep check-ins between 9am-5pm HST. If your travel map does not accommodate this please let us know and we'll do everything we can to help!
  • 7-10 days after move out. We will use an ACH transfer.
