Our modern coliving house in the historic centre of La Orotava offers discerning remote workers, digital nomads, and long-term guests a high-quality environment in which to live and work. The combination of Canarian charm, elegant interiors, and thoughtful room design creates an atmosphere that conveys both tranquillity and inspiration.

The rooms are stylishly furnished and some are equipped with private bathrooms. High-quality beds, ample storage space and bright natural light ensure a comfortable living experience. High-speed fibre optic internet with 250–400 Mbps is available for productive working. Several quiet work areas in the house offer a professional environment that is particularly attractive for longer stays.

The fully equipped kitchens feature modern appliances and a clear, well-maintained layout that makes cooking together or on your own a pleasure. In the sunny courtyard and cosy lounge area, guests can relax, read, or grab a quick coffee between meetings. Regular cleaning of the common areas, a washing machine, and an optional room cleaning service ensure additional everyday comfort.

The community is an international mix of freelancers, professionals, and long-term travelers who value quality, tranquility, and respectful interaction. The atmosphere is deliberately professional and relaxed—ideal for people who want to concentrate on their work while enjoying a pleasant, cosmopolitan community.

Community

We are building a calm, respectful, and international community where people can immediately feel at home. Our residents are mostly digital nomads, remote workers, entrepreneurs, creatives, and students who value quality, cleanliness, and harmonious coexistence.

The atmosphere is professional yet welcoming: everyone has their own space, but it's easy to connect with others if you're looking for conversation or shared activities. Our mission is to create a home that enables productive work, personal growth, and inspiring encounters—without the stress of having to find suitable flatmates yourself.

A beautiful and comfortable home from home. I really enjoyed my stay and my house mates. The manager gave a friendly welcome.
La Orotava is a good base too. A nice town with easy access to the rest of the island.

Top Questions

Will I have privacy?

Yes, to a certain extent – it depends on the room you book. Standard and Comfort rooms offer a lockable space where you can retreat and have time to yourself. In the shared room, you’ll be sharing the space with others, but you’ll have a personal locker and your own designated bed.

Bathrooms are partly shared unless you book a room with a private one. As the house is older, sound can travel – so a respectful attitude and quiet movement, especially at night, are appreciated.

Each room comes with its own key, and in some rooms, you can even switch off the electricity at night for better sleep.

Are pets allowed?

Although we love all pets, we might have members with potential allergies, so, unfortunately, we can’t allow people to bring pets with them. We want to make sure everyone can be happy in their communal home.

Can I split the rent with my partner or a friend?

This is generally possible in a Standard or Comfort Room if the room is designed for two people. However, a joint booking must be agreed and confirmed in advance.
In a Shared Room, the price is per bed, not per room – so each person can book their own bed, but the room will still be shared with others.

Is there a designated space for work?

Yes, we have dedicated workspaces! You can choose a free space every day, with the rule being "first come, first served". In addition, every standard and comfort room has a cosy workspace for your convenience.

What types of people will I be sharing the home with?

You’ll be sharing the space with a diverse, international community of people aged between 30 and 45 – many of them remote workers, freelancers, or creatives who combine work and travel.

What brings them together is the desire for a meaningful place to live: where focused work, respectful co-living, and authentic connection naturally come together.

Will I get the same room as on the photos?

The room you will be assigned might differ slightly from the photos but will match the room type. You are booking a room/bed by type, not a specific unit.

Can I tour the property first?

You don´t need to tour the property, and here is why:
- Properties on Coliving.com have pictures and a clear description of the community, rooms, and common areas. Most of them also have 3D or video tours.
- Restricting viewings provide equal opportunities for everyone, whether you are a local or live abroad. Plus, it preserves the privacy of our coliving communities.
- If anything is unclear, you can easily reach out to the property by clicking "Contact host" and ask for more details. Make sure your questions are not already covered in the description or the FAQ section.
- Coliving.com makes sure the coliving property is as advertised, by only sending any money to the operator 24h after you have successfully moved in.
- If the property substantially differ from what is advertiser, you report it to us and we will help you find another place.

Booking

What criteria do you use to evaluate potential renters?

We look for open-minded, considerate individuals who are looking for an opportunity to share a beautiful home with other exciting people.

Is it possible to arrive before the designated move-in time or stay past the move-out time?

Enjoy the convenience of early check-in or late check-out – when available.
Prefer not to book extra time? No problem – you’re welcome to store your luggage and make use of the communal spaces before check-in or after check-out.

Can I extend or shorten my stay?

Yes, you can extend your stay with us, subject to availability! If you need to shorten your stay, please note our cancellation policy. We are here to help you make the most of your time with us!

Policies

Is it permissible to have visitors during the day/night?

You're welcome to invite visitors during the day and enjoy the shared spaces together. To keep things comfortable for everyone, we kindly ask that guests leave by 10 PM.
Overnight stays are only possible upon request and must be approved in advance.

What is the policy on alcohol?

Moderate and respectful alcohol consumption is absolutely fine. We simply ask that you keep the shared spaces welcoming for everyone and avoid excessive drinking or disruptive behavior.

Amenities

What potential costs are there besides the rent?

We suggest considering renters insurance to help protect your belongings. While your rent covers your living space, everyday expenses like food, transportation, and personal items remain your responsibility.

Are all rooms furnished?

Our common areas are fully furnished to welcome you right away, and each bedroom comes equipped with all the essentials for comfortable living. Feel free to personalize your room—add or remove furniture (even hang up your favorite pictures)—as long as it’s set back the way you found it when you leave.

Any meals/snacks included?

Meals and snacks aren’t included, but you'll have full access to a well-equipped kitchen for preparing your favorite dishes at any time. Plus, with grocery stores just around the corner, everything you need is within reach.

Community

Do you host groups/retreats?

Yes, we occasionally host small groups or retreats that align with the spirit of the house. If you're interested in bringing a group, feel free to reach out – we’d be happy to explore possibilities with you.

How many people will be living here during my stay?

The house hosts a maximum of 15 guests at a time – creating a cozy, community-focused atmosphere without feeling crowded.

Is there a house/community manager?

Yes, there is usually a community manager on-site or nearby, happy to help you settle in, answer questions, or support if anything comes up during your stay. If not, you’ll find clear info and a contact number to reach someone quickly.

What are the nationalities of the other residents?

Safety

Are my belongings safe?

Yes, your room can be locked, and in shared rooms, each guest has their own locker and storage space under the bed. As always in shared living, we recommend keeping valuables secure and using the storage provided.

Can I lock my bedroom door?

Yes, absolutely. Whether you're in a private or shared room, you can lock the door. In shared rooms, only the guests staying in that room will have access.

Does the building have security? What is done to make me feel safe?

Yes – the house is protected by a door code system, and every guest receives a key to their room. Shared rooms are only accessible to the guests staying there.

For added safety, the house is equipped with smoke detectors, a CO₂ monitor, and a first aid kit. We also encourage everyone to lock doors and look out for one another to keep the space safe and comfortable for all.

Nearby

Are there any good restaurants nearby?

Just a few minutes' walk away, you'll discover a variety of excellent, budget-friendly restaurants to explore.

What public transportation is available?

Our location is ideal for walking, but if you prefer public transport, there is a bus stop just a short walk away. It's convenient for exploring the area and getting around!

How far is it to the nearest airport?

There are two main airports on the island:
– Tenerife North Airport (TFN) is about 30–40 minutes away by car.
– Tenerife South Airport (TFS) takes around 1 hour to 1 hour 15 minutes, depending on traffic.

We’re happy to help you find the best option or arrange a transfer if needed!
