About Dana Village
We are a holistic community (eco-village) dedicated to the theme of "Creating a Society Where All Lives Resonate." Located in the Aza district of Nishiaizu Town, Fukushima Prefecture, we utilize the former branch school of an elementary school, engaging in rural living with volunteers from both domestic and international backgrounds. Through various initiatives such as the production of safe and energetic food, self-transformation within the community, mindfulness, and experimenting on sustainability, we strive to increase the number of individuals who can live holistically and authentically.
We offer the opportunity for individuals to experience co-living as part of our community through the concept of Dana-Cation (Work-vacation). This model allows participants to contribute and live together in a shared environment, aligning with the principles of holistic living, sustainability, and mutual support.
By engaging in Dana-Cation, participants will not only experience the authenticity of rural Japan but also have the opportunity to meet like-minded, passionate individuals from around the world.

Professional and good to work with.
AMAZING PLACE. Made great friends, connected with nature, learned, ate the best vegan food, and was VERY productive during working hours.
It "IS WHAT YOU MAKE IT," though. Don't expect coliving services:
- International and Japanese community. 4-10 people when I was there in August. Mostly young WWOOFers.
- No AC, so temperature fluctuates. I set up my office on a desk in a shared room with a fan, and I was fine.
- Co-working space in the area (2000 YEN for the monthly pass) reachable by local bus (300 YEN each way).
