The Coliving is located in Preston's eclectic suburb, a great home base for exploring one of the world’s most dynamic cities. Being right smack in the middle of a multicultural area, we embrace diverse cultures and backgrounds amidst a great food scene.
A buzzing hub for shopping, entertainment, and cultural happenings, and a haven for foodies. There is no need to venture far from us to experience the city’s vibrant culture. There is an abundance of cafés, bars, and boutique stores just around the corner, as well as more eateries just a short tram ride away on Fitzroy’s Brunswick Street.
We are located just a short 20-minute drive from Melbourne Airport and the CBD. The area is also close to East Link, and there are also many public transport options just minutes away. Preston is serviced by the Mernda train line, which runs between St Georges Road and High Street, offering easy access to the city for commuters. Plenty of buses and a tram line make it easy to get to neighboring suburbs.

My booking has been accepted, now what?Once you’ve been accepted and confirmed your ideal moving-in date, the host will be there to welcome you to your new home. They will help you settle in your room, show you around the space, and introduce you to the other community members. Once we’ve answered your questions, you will be given time to get settled and make yourself at home.

Will I get the same room as on the photos?The room you will be assigned might differ slightly from the photos but will match the room type. You are booking a room/bed by type, not a specific unit.

What if I don’t know exactly how long I want to stay?You may book a shorter stay first and then extend once you know more about your needs.

What if the place is not as advertised?You have 24hrs to let us know if everything is okay. If you think you’ve been missold to, or the listing was significantly different to what you got, we’ll help you find somewhere else to live, or refund your money.

Can I cancel a booking?You may cancel with no fees until you have paid. Once you have paid for your booking, the Cancellation Policy needs to be followed.

Will I have privacy?Yes! You have all the privacy you need in your own studio room while still being able to access the communal areas and events.

Are pets allowed?We wish! But unfortunately, no, we do not accommodate any pets on our premises. To be fair to all residents, we cannot allow any furry friends.

Can I split the rent with my partner or a friend?You sure can! But additional fees may apply.

Is there a designated space for work?Yes! We have so many communal spaces for working, including open desks and private meeting rooms.

How do I get the long stay discount?Our long stay discounts are offered in form of free weeks at the end of the stay. Advertised prices are an average of the total accommodation charges over the full length of stay. i.e. - On booking a Great Room for 12 months, you pay $490 for the first 39 weeks and $0 for the last 13 weeks. This is an average of $308/week or $1324.4/month.
